Laila Brandt

Laila Brandt was born in Copenhagen, Denmark and is a self-taught London artist who loves to hand build unique stoneware pottery. Each an individual ceramic inspiration, a piece of art, a curiosity that reflects the very nature influenced notion of the perfect imperfect.  Her love of clay has inspired her to share her knowledge through teaching pottery classes and workshops. Laila’s innovative workshops in various locations such as craft breweries have been very popular. “It is very rewarding to work with people that have never touched clay before and see them leave with a mug that they created. I get a huge thrill out of it.”Her exclusive pieces have been featured at several exhibitions, the Forest City Cookbook, Anderson Craft Ales Mug Club and can be found at various locations including her shop Laila’s Loft. Laila is an avid advocate for women’s personal growth. She derives inspiration from stories of empowered women who challenged society and opened doors for more women to follow. She always encourages people to not be afraid to be themselves and to revel in their uniqueness. “Everyone should be happy with who they are and not try to be anybody else.”
