NOTE: This workshop is for Cottage Pottery Studio members only.

Join us for a members-only teapot-making workshop where you’ll learn the process of creating your own unique teapot!

• We will begin with 2 hours of wheel throwing, where you’ll learn the fundamentals of shaping and throwing clay to create the main components of your teapot.

• Next, we will take a 1-hour break for lunch (not provided) and drying time, allowing the clay to firm up to the ideal consistency for trimming and assembly.

• After the break, we will spend 2 hours trimming, assembling, and finishing your teapot .

• Throughout the workshop we will discuss functionality and aesthetics.

• By the end of the workshop, your teapot will be fully formed and ready for the next stage. We’ll take care of the slow drying and bisque firing process after the workshop then you can glaze during your member bookings.

Bring a photo for inspiration to help guide your design, and a lunch if you'd like to hang around during the break!

• Duration: 5 hours, including a 1 hour lunch break (bring your own lunch)

• Level: Intermediate. Must be able to confidently center 1.5-2 lbs of clay. 

• Price: $120 + HST
