A focused, hands-on workshop dedicated to making and refining lids for wheel-thrown forms!

NOTE: This workshop is for Cottage Pottery Studio members only.

This practical session is designed to build confidence in creating well-fitting, functional lids that elevate your jars, teapots, and other lidded vessels. We will focus on proportion, fit, finish and ease of forming—so your lids sit securely, open smoothly, and feel intentional in both form and function.

What to expect:

• Making lids for jars, canisters, and teapots on the wheel

• Measuring and shaping for accurate, consistent fits

• Understanding shrinkage, fit tolerance, and form pairing

• Troubleshooting common issues such as tight fits, wobble, and poor alignment
